Southern Hawker (Explored 22 September 2020)
I always have a resident Southern Hawker around my pond this time of year and 2020 is no exception. I was happy to be able to capture this male in flight a couple of weeks ago.

A lovely mature male Broad-bodied Chaser settled around my garden pond for a few hours, posing nicely for me. The Smoke Bush provided the background for this shot.

One of my favourite Odonata species discovered by the Brook near to my house last week. This is an immature male identified by the brown rather than blue wings of a mature male.
